Al Qaqa Ibn Amr At Tameemi

There are many amazing Muslim commanders you have heard of over and over again. Some of them may be, Khalid bin Al Waleed, ‘Amr ibn Al ‘Aas, and Abu Ubaidah ibn al Jarrah. But, have you ever heard about an amazing Muslim commander named Al-Qa’qa’ ibn ‘Amr at Tamimi? He was one of the main commanders in the battle of al Qadisiyyah against the Persian Empire.           Not much is known about him of his early age before he became Muslim. We do know that he converted to Islam along with his tribe during the year of the delegation (year 631). Later, for a short time, he started following the false prophetess Sajah bint al Harith. When the Muslim army battled the false prophetess and threw her out of control, Al Qa’qa’ joined the Muslim army and marched with Khalid bin Al Waleed to Iraq and Syria and fought many battles such as Yarmouk, Battle of the Chains, and Al Qadisiyyah.           In the B...

2 Ingredient Chocolate Cake

9 oz semisweet chocolate morsels 4 eggs whites and eggs separated 1. Preheat oven to 325 F degrees 2. Melt chocolate morsels completely in microwave (around 1 minute) 3.Whisk egg whites until very fluffy 4.Add yolks to chocolate one by one into the melted chocolate 5.Fold eggs whites using spatula into chocolate egg mixture 6. pour batter into greased 6 inch pan and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes 7.Cool and Enjoy!😃

Muslim's Lost in History

My name is Emaan Idris and I am 13 years old. A few weeks ago, I was doing my Social Studies homework and we were studying the fall of the Roman and Persian Empires. A few days later our family was watching a series about Omar (RA). I realized that in my text book, there was no mention about how the Muslims conquered the greatest empires and brought peace to the land.   I watched the series and they showed how after the death of RasulAllah and even before his death, Muslims were conquering different parts of the Arabian Peninsula until they conquered all of Arabia. Soon a Muslim commander by the name Al Muthanna ibn Haritha started raids in southern Iraq and I thought “Well, that doesn’t come in my Social Studies text book”. Then I saw the part when Abu Bakr (RA) sent him reinforcements and they started to have battles with the Persian army. Inside Persia there was also fighting for power.
